The Noosa Longweekend Festival 2010: Running from June 18-27, the Noosa Longweekend is 10 days of theatre,
music, literature, forums, dance, film, art and food. Now in its 9th year, the event features 130 free and ticketed events
and this years’ program is shaping up to be the most exciting ever. International performers, a big name Australian film
star, several of Australia’s best known authors and journalists and a host of fantastic, free, community events will delight
audiences across the coast. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store! The world-premiere-preview of David Williamson's
latest play Rhinestone Rex and Miss Monica starring Georgie Parker; two exclusive Australian performances
performed by members of the San Francisco Ballet; forums featuring Ita Buttrose, everyone’s favourite gardener Don
Burke and ABC TV's The Insiders; literary and celebrity events with high profile journalists and authors such as Paul
Kelly, Mike Colman, Dr Anne Summers, Underbelly authors John Silvester and Andrew Rule and animal
behavioural specialist Dr Paul McGreevy.
